According to analysts, Russian forces lost 1,782 tanks, 2,135 infantry fighting vehicles, 299 armored personnel carriers, 349 self-propelled artillery units, 178 MLRS, 2,311 trucks and SUVs in Ukraine.
The Russian army has lost almost 9,500 units of military equipment in Ukraine. This figure includes not only destroyed, but also damaged, abandoned and captured. This is reported by the Oryx project.
The report states that the total loss of Russian military equipment amounted to 9441 units. Among them, 6007 units were destroyed. The Ukrainian military were able to capture 2.7 thousand units.

The material says that 900 lost tanks are various modifications of the T-72 tank, more than 400 – T-80, more than 50 – T-90.
According to analysts, Ukraine has lost approximately 3,000 pieces of military equipment. Of these, 1919 were destroyed and cannot be restored. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 470 tanks, 265 armored vehicles, 494 infantry fighting vehicles, 228 armored personnel carriers, 59 aircraft, 31 helicopters.
The experts also concluded that Russian losses are almost 9 times greater than during both wars in Chechnya, as well as in Georgia. In the first Chechen campaign, the Russian army lost 767 units of equipment, in the second – 292 units. During the war in Georgia, the loss of the Russian Federation amounted to 92 pieces of equipment.
What is Oryx
Oryx, a Dutch think tank, investigates military operations by collecting information from open sources. Oryx takes into account only visually confirmed losses, its figures are considered by some military experts to be the most minimal initial data for estimates.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces were promised to receive new RUD-7 combat drones. The engineers claim that they have improved the RUD-250 kamikaze drones, increasing the range and carrying capacity. The new model should drop bombs.
We also recall that NYT journalists spoke about attempts by elite units of the RF Armed Forces to attack Ugledar. The Ukrainian military is setting up ambushes for the Russian occupiers, who, as at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, began to attack in columns. The largest tank battles of the entire war are taking place near Ugledar.
