If the name probably does not tell you anything yet, in China, Leapmotor is nevertheless well established. The Chinese manufacturer has indeed marketed 64,038 vehicles over the first 7 months of 2022, posting an increase of +177% compared to last year.
Founded in 2015, the start-up Leapmotor designs and produces electric vehicles in China by approaching them as electronic products, characterized by smart features: facial recognition, opening by fingerprint detection, fatigue alert by camera, etc. Among Leapmotor’s innovations, we particularly note the “Cell-to-chassis” concept: a technology that includes electric battery cells in the car’s chassis in order to reduce the vehicle’s weight, while improving its rigidity and safety.
For its arrival in France via the company EVE France (Electric Vehicle Space), a subsidiary of the SN Diffusion group (already importer of the Chinese brand Seres in France) Leapmotor chose the T03.
