With its generous roominess and its ultra-tight price, the Dacia Jogger constitutes an excellent basis for making a cheap camping machine. That’s why the Spanish brand Camperiz presented a few days ago its modified version of the Romanian crossover, equipped with everything you need to sleep and even live in the middle of nature. On the occasion of the presentation of its Manifesto concept car intended for the Paris Motor Show, Dacia took the opportunity to unveil its “homemade” kit to transform the Jogger into a camping vehicle.
This kit goes much less far than the Jogger reviewed and corrected by Camperiz: unlike the latter, the Dacia equipped with the factory kit does not have a sink, a fridge or even a tap system. . It is content with a bass drum installed in the trunk (of the five-seater version), making it possible to form a completely flat space when you put the small two-seater berth supplied with it. Dacia also shows a large tent connected to the cabin, which can probably be stored in the car. But it will probably take a little elbow grease to mount it given its format. Dacia, on the other hand, does not give any details on the two foldable chairs visible in the image below.
Dacia explains that this camping kit will be available next year and we will have to wait a bit to find out the price. Remember that the Jogger costs €16,790 in its basic five-seater version with the LPG-compatible Eco-G 100 engine, or €19,100 in its better-equipped Expression finish. The fitted version of Camperiz starts at €23,250 including the price of the car.
