Like all Japanese manufacturers, Honda particularly refines the development of its new models before putting them on the market. A precaution that allows it to avoid organizing recalls as numerous as those of its competitors.
However, the brand’s city car and its derivative Crosstar are now the subject of a campaign aimed at correcting an electronic fault. It turns out, in fact, that the communication between the vehicle and object recognition processor, and the main processor which calculates the accelerations and decelerations of the car may not be done in an optimal manner.
In this case, the camera that provides information to various driving aids may not start, which prevents the operation of the ADAS. To overcome this problem, a simple software update is enough. This operation requires the immobilization of the car for 2h30.
Honda France is currently contacting 4,347 owners of Jazz and Jazz Crosstar assembled between January 2020 and February 2021. Its units have been approved under CE types, which appear in box K of the gray card, e6*2007/46*0415 * followed by 00, 01 or 02. This recall is identified internally under the reference 6AS.
