As we all know, BMW is working hard to develop – and for the first time – the M3 Touring. This model is under development, our photographers have already seen it while the engineers tested it on the open road as a camouflaged prototype. The manufacturer from Munich was sympathetic to us, he gave a glimpse of the rear of his sports station wagon on video.
We do not know when will BMW M decide to lift the veil on this new model, in the meantime, we invite you to discover what the BMW M3 Touring will look like through these superb illustrations.
They were produced by Magnus Concepts, and it seems that they are very close to reality. The illustrator, however, exaggerated his renderings by wanting to make the station wagon more aggressive than it will be, for example the ground clearance has been voluntarily reduced. The same goes for the yellow tinted front lights.
We like this BMW M3 Touring very much, and we think that many of you share our opinion. With a little luck, it could join (or replace) the Audi RS 6 Avant which for several years now has enjoyed a good reputation and made the heyday of Audi Sport.
On the other hand, the BMW M station wagon will be less powerful, if the Audi RS 6 Avant delivers 600 hp thanks to its V8 engine, the M3 Touring will be satisfied with a six cylinders in line delivering the trifle of 510 hp. According to BMW Blog, it will be revealed next year, but it would not go into production until November 2022. Thus, we do not risk seeing it on our roads before 2023, which will give us time to talk about it by then.
