Chinese manufacturer XPeng is launching the P5, its new electric sedan, in China: the model should arrive on the Old Continent next year.
XPeng has just launched in China the P5, the third model in its 100% electric range, after the G3 SUV and the large P7 sedan. It is a compact tri-body sedan 4.81 meters long, which is set to compete with the Tesla Model 3, and which we should see land soon in Europe.
If its profile is fairly classic, a few small details make it resolutely modern, such as its flush door handles, or its front and rear optics linked together by a luminous border.
Inside, we find a rather modern cabin, with space and technology, evidenced by this large 15.6 inch vertical touchscreen, placed between the dashboard and the center console, completed by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
XPeng P5 (2021): three battery capacities offered
Under the hood, we find a 100% electric motorization of 208 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, able to swallow the 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds, for a top speed limited to 175 km / h. Three batteries are offered, with capacities of 55.9 kWh, 66.2 kWh and 71.4 kWh, allowing respectively a autonomy of 460 km, 550 km and 600 km (according to the NEDC cycle).
Marketed from next month in China, the XPeng P5 starts at 157,900 yuan, the equivalent ofaround 20,800 euros. If the Chinese firm has not yet confirmed this information, it is already rumored that the P5 would be available in Europe from 2022!
