The press office of the South Korean brand has released several images of the new Hyundai Staria minivan. At the moment, there are no details about the new product.
Apparently, Hyundai Motor Group still believes in good old minivans. Sister Kia recently unveiled the Carnival family minivan, and now Hyundai has decided to publish a teaser for a similar model. “Staria” is the name given to the new minivan, which Hyundai says will offer “future design solutions and unsurpassed innovation.”
The exterior of the car can be called unusual, especially the wide LED strip in front.
The published press release states that the Hyundai Staria looks like a spaceship (yes, indeed). The radiator grille is very wide. It is surrounded by headlights and includes radar for cruise control and other safety features. The short overhangs hint at a wide wheelbase to maximize interior space.
The minivan’s dashboard is dominated by the infotainment system’s centered touchscreen, and there doesn’t appear to be a driver display behind the wheel. The silver “RND” buttons on the gear selector are located just below the screen and appear to be taken from the Santa Fe crossover.
Hyundai isn’t providing any specs about the new minivan at this time, so we don’t know if the Staria is mechanically linked to the front-wheel drive Kia Carnival. The new minivan is likely to be a direct replacement for the outdated rear-wheel drive H1 / Starex / Grand Starex / iMax.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that there was data on prices for the updated Hyundai Tucson crossover version 2022. The Hyundai press service has published a price list for the compact crossover Hyundai Tucson version 2022 model year.
